Captains Report
Edward Henderson reported that he had written a report of the weather ravaged season in the Old Cranleighan. In summary we had 12 games cancelled or abandoned and there was obviously the disappointing exit in the first round of the Cricketer Cup. The highlight of the season was the wonderful 9 man victory against the Hampshire Hogs. We continue to grow and introduce recent leavers to the Club so we look forward to the coming season with much anticipation.

2012 Accounts - Subs and match fees for 2013
Rob Merry presented the 2012 accounts. It was unanimously agreed that they have continued to improve.
- The main area of continued focus was on the better collection of subs from all those over 24 years of age who wanted to play or be associated with the club. Rob has an extensive list of all subs that are outstanding and will continue to chase going forward.
- There was a lengthy discussion around the level of match fees. At this stage it was agreed that these would not increase for the 2013 season but one of the primary reasons for the healthy state of the clubs finances was due to the Chetwode’s generosity with regards lunches. It is noted that Louise will not always be around to do lunches and when the time comes for her to hand on the mantle match fees will need to be re-addressed.
- Henry Watkinson suggested that all those who play for the club but do not pay a subscription should be charged £25 per game this was agreed and will be enforced by the captain during the upcoming season.
- Rick Johnson highlighted that the Batting boards need to be enlarged and the Bowling boards need to be created. These come at significant cost and such additional and unforeseen expenses need to be taken into account when reviewing the clubs finances.
- The match fees for the 2013 season were agreed as per the Committees suggestion.
The club accounts were approved.
Proposed: D. Bugge
Seconded: H. Watkinson

Election of honorary positions and officers for 2013
Chairman: Rick Johnson
Captain: Ed Henderson
Hon Treasurer: Rob Merry
Hon Secretary: Jonny Gates
Hon Fixture Sec: Tristan Rosenfeldt
Vice Presidents: Louise Chetwode, Melissa Johnson
Hall of Fame: Simon Copleston

Henry Watkinson proposed that both Louise Chetwode and Melissa Johnson be made Vice Presidents. Henry reported:
Louise Chetwode
Louise has been one of the OCCCs biggest supporters over the last 25 years coming to support for the majority of the games Mike has played in. She has been on 5 of the seven major tours and was a major support to Mike in his 8 years as captain. In the last few years she has taken on the mantle of producing lunches during cricket week at cost in order to help balance the OCCC books. Louise deserves a small recognition for her ever present support to all things and people OCCC
Melissa Johnson
Melissa has been on every OCCC major tour apart from one. Only 4 other people can boast that record. (She has doubled up as tour medic and Physio). She has been unwaveringly supportive of OCCC not only on tours but has on numerous occasions filled in with catering (whether she has offered or not) last minute when others have let us down. She has been an uncomplaining wife during the many hours Rick has spent organising tours and has even helped on occasion with organisation whilst Rick was airborne.

Both Melissa and Louise as non OC’s have had a real influence on the success of this club and both warrant our thanks and I therefore nominate both as Vice Presidents of the Club.

Although not up for election and decided by the present members of the Hall of Fame it was announced that Simon Copleston had been indicted into the Hall of Fame. Simon has been an integral member of the club for many years as well as an extremely generous benefactor. Simon spent many years as Fixture Secretary for the club and is currently the clubs second leading run scorer.

It was agreed to vote in all Officers and Vice Presidents en bloc.
Proposed: Henry Watkinson
Seconded: Mike Chetwode

Fixture Secretary's report on 2013 fixtures and catering
- At the request of Winchester, this year's fixture is to be played at Cranleigh on 12th May, reverting back to Winchester next year
- CC Round 1 warm up game confirmed for Sunday 9th June (week prior to CC Round 1) against Harrow. Due to Mike Howard game on Jubilee that day, fixture will take place on either Lowers or Cranleigh Village. Harrow CC skipper and manager involved in arrangement of fixture.
- CC Round 2 to be played on Lowers or Cranleigh Village (if we qualify) due to Speech Day taking place that day.
- New fixture arranged with Bradfield Waifs for Sunday 21st July (will revert to early August in 2014)
- Hampshire Hogs remains after agreement that match fee will be £230, not £275 as per previous years
- Wednesday of cricket week remains with Grasshoppers. Hurst, Bradfield, Sherborne and Radley were all approached and unable to confirm. Hurst, Sherborne, Radley all keen for 2014 fixture with us.
- In addition Henry Watkinson has discussed with Mark Semmance the possibility of a London fixture against the Hurlingham club. From Henry’s discussion it appears likely that the OCCC will be able to add a fixture for the 2014 season. This will be followed up by the Secretary in conjunction with Henry Watkinson over the course of the coming weeks.

Cricketer Cup 2013
It was reported that Abeed Janmohammed has decided to step down from his position as Cricketer Cup Captain and the club thanked Abeed for all of his work in the regard. It was announced that Matt Crump would take over the role for the 2013 season. In addition there would be a few changes to the Selection Committee both Rick Johnson and Stuart Welch have stepped down with immediate effect and the selection committee would be comprised of: Matt Crump, Edward Henderson and David Bugge.

Vice-Captain
The Captain announced that Tom Crump would take over from Matt Crump as the clubs Vice Captain for the 2013 season and thanked Matt for his year of service.

Kit donation to the Sacred Cows Foundation in St Lucia
It was highlighted that despite a call at the last AGM no progress has yet been made in sourcing kit for the Sacred Cows Foundation in St Lucia. It was agreed that there would be a mass push amongst the club and in co-ordination with the School through the OC Intern to arrange for all second hand kit to be left at the Pavilion after cricket week. Rick then agreed that once enough kit had been collected he would arrange for it to be flown out to St Lucia.

Tour
It was announced that much thought and discussion had gone into the destination and date for the next OC tour with Kenya and the Middle East emerging as front runners. Whilst the case for a tour to Kenya was highly compelling it was agreed that there was a one-time opportunity to tie in the tour to the Middle East
with the opening of the new School. Jonny Gates and Tom Merry will be undertaking the role of tour organisers for a second time with a proposed 10 day tour to Abu Dhabi and Dubai during October 2014.

Additional business
Rick Johnson reported that Colin White, Past Club Captain and President sadly died last year. His wife has requested a suitable memorial for him and it was decided that a cup, the Colin White Cup, would be played for by the School and the OCCC on Speech Day. This cup together with other trophies would be displayed in a new trophy cabinet to take residence at the top of the stairs in the Pavilion where the memorial book used to be before being moved to the Chapel.

The meeting was then called to a close.
