Annual Dinner raises £2000 for Friends of Tim
Brad Scriven won the Rosenfeldt Players’ Player of the Year, Seren Waters picked up the Copleston Batting Cup and Matt Crump the Chetwode Bowling Cup.
The usual discussions took place about the usual subjects. All officers were re-elected, with Mike Roper taking over from Tristan Rosenfeldt as Hon Fixtures Secretary.
The fixture list is a little different this year and we have added Blackheath, a welcome return.
The part of the evening which stood out was Graeme Brown’s heartfelt address about our friend Tim Evans and the help being given to him. In the raffle that followed more than £2000 was raised with the top item, a England cricket shirt signed by Kevin Pietersen, raising over £500.
Perhaps fuelled by alcohol, Rosenfeldt then agreed/was corralled into facing an over in the nets from Stuart Meaker for £500. An already bad idea quickly become an even worse one when bids flooded in for additional money every time Meaker managed to strike him on the body.
Ed Henderson gave the captain’s address, aimed largely and successfully at getting Jonny Gates nailed, although there was the inevitable collateral damage.

Harsh chat from @Crumpy8 who pointed out not even @SMeaker18 knows where his deliveries are aimed
